Just like the thick, textural tangle of reeds and bulrush that lines our Welsh riverbanks, underlaid with weathered pebbles and sediment; Marlais gains its rich, patinated appearance from the mixture of materials that creates it. Offering a neutral combination of tones – blue with an organic grained aesthetic, Marlais makes a humble statement that’s ideal for commercial interiors.
We understand how important it is for your material choices to be just right – so we’ve introduced a customisation service. Just ask and we can make any small changes; for example, dialling up the blue or toning down the sandy flecks.

Pattern Examples
We make up batches of Marlais material in 5-10 tonne lots and batches will vary depending on the type of packaging we find. There will always be a base of light blue, though the shade and intensity will vary between batches, and occasionally there may be a few inclusions of another colour.
