The very first Material Source Studio opened its doors in Manchester last week - and we’re extremely proud to be a founding partner.

As a visitor to the 15,000sqft design destination, located inside the stunning Grade II listed Hanover Building in NOMA, you will experience our products in an inspiring, immersive environment.

Exhibiting alongside 35+ of the commercial interiors and built environment’s brightest and most trailblazing brands, we’re showcasing sustainable surfaces from our Classics collection, with some bespoke bits on the side.

Illustrating the versatility of our never-before-seen, limited-edition Shoreline material are two creations - a unique mixing desk for the podcast studio, and planters housing biophilic elements from Oasis Plants, situated in the Basement’s HUB area.

Calm and comforting, Shoreline captures the essence of a pebble beach, transforming discarded staples of the home, such as bath panels and fridges, into a material with a warm and welcoming aesthetic. Slightly speckled in appearance, it supports the overall relaxing ambience Material Source Studio required for its space, while serving a highly functional purpose.

Embracing eco at every turn

As part of our commitment to securing a more sustainable future, our custom POD features stay-in-the-studio samples – supporting your specification journey by allowing you to get an idea of the look, feel and finish of our products, without creating any unnecessary waste.

Rather than include any printed literature on our stand, a QR code will allow you to access more information at the click of a button, which, again, cuts down on producing would-be waste material.

Inspiration and insight

The Studio itself is set across two levels, and features a wealth of inspirational exhibits and interactive displays. In addition to the podcast studio and HUB, it also includes a CPD area, an 80-seat theatre space and numerous meeting areas for seminars from industry experts.

We’re looking forward to being part of the engaging talks programme that’s planned for the New Year – watch this space.

“Material Source Studio is like nothing else. We’re bringing an unparalleled creative toolbox to the north west – a place where the architecture and design community can meet, share ideas and collaborate while utilising the work of a wealth of industry-leading brands and up-and-coming designers at their fingertips.” - Michael Rogan, operations director at Material Source Studio
