Smile Plastics has officially landed in Glasgow as a partner at Material Source Studio.
Following the success of its Manchester site, Material Source chose Scotland’s design capital for its second location, and we’re thrilled to be showcasing our sustainable surfaces alongside 25+ other top industry brands.
Located within the inspiring hub on West George Street, the Studio offers architects, designers, and property professionals a unique opportunity to explore our materials first-hand.
The Studio in Glasgow serves as a dynamic platform for product exploration. Our POD – with takeaway samples – invites you to experience Smile Plastics’ versatile materials up close, allowing their unique textures and finishes to be seen and felt.
Each surface tells its own story, crafted from 100% recycled would-be waste ranging from food packaging to discarded industrial plastic. Our panels quite literally wear glimmers of their past lives on their sleeves.
As well as being an aesthetic spectacle, our POD also demonstrates how the circular economy works in practice.
Conscious Connectivity
True to our ethos of minimising waste, our Glasgow exhibit features all the information you need for specification in a digital format. Instead of traditional printed materials, we’ve opted for QR codes, making it easy to dive deeper into the spec, sustainability credentials, and stories behind each panel.
Sparking Imagination
Material Source is more than just a showroom – it’s a place for collaboration, learning, discovery, and development. With various spaces designed to facilitate workshops, CPD events, and industry talks; in the year it’s been open, it has fast established itself as a useful destination for the entirety of Scotland’s design community. And we’re really proud to be a partner there.
Whether you’re working on a large-scale project or are simply seeking inspiration, we hope our materials spark your imagination.
