While manufacturing is an integral part of our economy, it also clearly has a significant impact on our environment. Hence why many companies are now, thankfully, dedicated to minimising their environmental impact.

Being environmentally conscious has always been at the core of our business. And now, following the move to our new, bigger UK manufacturing site, we thought it about time we shouted about being certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 - internationally recognised standards for quality and environmental management, further bolstering our eco-commitment.

What do ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 mean to you?

ISO 9001 is a quality management system standard that ensures companies consistently meet client and regulatory requirements. In essence, this standard focuses on how satisfied you are as a customer, while ensuring we make continual improvements to our operations - preventing non-conformities in the process.

ISO 14001 is an environmental management system standard that helps companies minimise their ecological impact. This standard focuses on the identification of environmental aspects, the development of environmental objectives and targets, and the implementation of a plan to achieve them. It’s another string to our environmentally conscious bow as a business, and means you can rest assured the surface solutions you specify from us are as sustainable as they can be.

Our factory’s focus on sustainability

At our UK manufacturing site in Swansea, Wales, we take a proactive approach to minimising our environmental impact, daily. We have implemented a zero-waste model, which means we aim to send nothing to landfill. We also work closely with our suppliers to ensure they share our values and are committed to sustainability. This allows us to minimise the environmental impact of our entire supply chain.

We are so committed to this, employing dedicated quality assurance personnel who work closely with our suppliers for continuous, ongoing improvement of our operations.

Our long-term promise of commitment

We are wholly committed to continuous improvement when it comes to sustainability. As part of this, we regularly review our processes, using data to identify areas where we can further reduce our environmental impact.

Ultimately, we believe that sustainable manufacturing is an ongoing journey. And it’s one we’re bringing you along on, every step of the way.
